Where VISTAGE Began

Empowering Leaders, Energising Success: Vistage’s 65-Year Journey

It began in 1957 when businessman Bob Nourse brought together several Milwaukee-area executives to help each other solve their business challenges. He ensured they were from non-competing industries and kept all conversations strictly confidential. He also invited business experts to share insights and experience.

Nourse’s approach delivered such strong results that his local group quickly grew into a global organisation with more than 45,000 members across 40 countries.

Over the past 65 years, Vistage has evolved to support increasingly diverse and complex businesses. However, it remains true to Bob Nourse’s original vision: to help high-integrity leaders make better decisions that benefit their companies, families and communities.

Stephanie Christopher is an accomplished business leader with over 25 years’ experience in the corporate sector.

Prior to Vistage, Stephanie successfully guided CEB SHL Talent Measurement through extensive growth and global best practice initiatives as the ANZ Managing Director. She believes the key to success for any organisation is a true understanding of the importance of leadership and the talent needed to achieve its objectives.

President of International Operations

Rob Ristagno is responsible for strengthening and growing Vistage’s global footprint across Australia/New Zealand, Asia, Europe, Canada, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. In his role, he helps to ensure that more CEOs around the world have access to Vistage peer advisory groups that help them become better leaders, make better decisions and deliver better outcomes.
